About Us

Pavilion Industries is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded two years ago in
Columbus, Ohio by Pastor Stewart-Alexander of Pavilion Ministries.

Our vision is to help create a generation of girls of color who dream big because they are confident they have the skills to create their own destinies. Through our programs, children, youth and families are provided equitable opportunities and resources that enable them  to thrive and transcend barriers.

Our Programs

OUR PROGRAMS

new chapters

A weekly reading literacy group for Black girls to enrich themselves through the power of storytelling and representation.

SPOKEN WORD WORKS

A program centered around using spoken word poetry as a tool for processing life experiences, enabling self-expression and healing.

Natural Hair Care

A program for Black women and girls to gain tips and resources to cultivate healthy and happy hair on a long-term and sustainable basis.

SAY KNOW TO DRUGS

A program by Students For Sensible Drug Policy aimed at reducing deaths due to drugs through education and harm reduction.

Receiving grant to address drug epidimic for second year. Fundraising to Reach 50+ More Families

2018

Pavilion Industries Inc. is birthed out of Pavilion Ministries Church as a safe space for families from the Linden community. 

2018 - 2019

COVID-19 leads to lay offs and cutbacks. Received grant for Drug Education Webinar & continue weekly Reading Literacy girls group.

Youth Center established with Spoken Word Circle, Drug Education Panel, Reading Literacy Group, Natural Hair Care workshops, and more.
